Alternative Spring Break |
Every year, Wilkes reaches out during Spring Break by traveling to service sites across the nation and across the globe. Recent groups have brought our caring spirit to a Navajo Nation in Oklahoma, built and repaired homes in Appalachian Kentucky, assisted seniors in impoverished Lima, Peru, created and sustained reclamation work in St. Bernard’s Parrish Louisiana for the past three years, and became immersed in education about the Holocaust in Germany and at Auschwitz in Poland. These are truly life-changing experiences. Help support this year's students by making a donation toward the cost of these trips.

Students must apply by completing an application and interview. Individuals are then selected and assigned to service teams. In the course of 6 months, students prepare by attending weekly meetings, conducting numerous fundraisers, and engaging in team-building activities.
