We are honored to present Dr. Paul Wender, Wilkes Class of 1969, Department of Chemistry, Department of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University, as our inaugural speaker. His topic for the lecture is “Molecular Frontiers and Future Transformative Therapies for AIDS, Alzheimer’s and Resistant Cancer” (Reflections in and on the light house at Finisterre).
Dr. Wender has pioneered new methodologies for design and construction of complex organic molecules, both naturally occurring and synthetic. His contributions cover a broad range of chemistry, including synthetic organic, organ metallic, medicinal, and agricultural and photo-chemistry, cancer biology and computer application in synthesis and drug design.
