Do you know an alumnus/a who exemplifies the outstanding standards and character of a Wilkes student athlete?
Nominate them for induction into the Wilkes Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of their accomplishments! Over 150 athletes have been inducted to date. For the listing of past inductees, click here.
A selection committee consisting of alumni, coaches and former coaches choose inductees according to the following criteria:
- The nominees must be Bucknell Junior College, Wilkes College or Wilkes University graduates. They may be living or deceased.
- Nominees are eligible for selection ten years from the date of graduation and must have demonstrated good citizenship after graduation.
- Categories include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, golf, men's and women's lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, swimming, men’s and women’s tennis, volleyball and wrestling. In addition, categories exist for an outstanding team and non-participating individuals, including coaches and trainers.
- The Selection Committee will consider each candidate’s achievements, including, but not limited to:
- All American status – National or Regional level
- Eastern College Athletic Conference Honors (ECAC) – Most Valuable Player, All Star Selection, Player of the Week Selection
- All State Selection
- Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) – Most Valuable Player, All Conference Selection
- Multi Sport Athlete
- Team Most Valuable Player or Individual Team Honor (Best Defender, etc.)
- Team Sport and/or Individual Sport Success – NCAA Title/Participant, ECAC Championship/Tournament Participant, MAC Championship/Participant, Freedom League Championship/Participant, Metro Championship/Participant
- University Awards – Athlete of the Year, Scholar Athlete of the Year
- School Record Holder – Top five in career, individual and/or game category
